About Me
Who I Am: For my entire life, I've had a passion for mathematics. My earliest memory of using mathematics was at the age of three, I used math in order to tell time on my analog watch. I was so proficient at telling time that my preschool teacher would have to take my watch away because I would time her when she said, "We'll move on in a few minutes." As my mathematics education advanced through the years, math became less of a study of algorithms and how to compute, and more of a study of elegance. In Calculus, we learn the sophistication of the exponential function and how its value at a point is also its slope, and how we can use this to our advantage in differential equations. My lifelong love of mathematics, as well as many students' dismal outlook on mathematics, in conjunction with the gracefulness of mathematics that I am so fortunate to have been taught, pushes me to teach mathematics to young men and women, so that they can at least get a taste of the elegance of mathematics.
