Shew can have him hung because of his color (lynching).She is lashing out at Crooks to feel better herself. She could say something and being black they would hang him.

She simply is implying that she could get Crooks lynched. There was no racism at the time, as the word hadnt been invented so it was in fact the prejudice towards black people which made it possible for them to be downtrodden as Crooks is. Curleys Wife who is meant to embody women of the time, hence the lack of a real name is put into a position  of higher authority because she is white and a woman, meaning that she has control over Crooks. After she says this line it is apparent that Crooks shrinks in personality, "Crooks had reduced himself to nothing. There was no personality, no ego - nothing to arouse neither like nor dislike", this part was written by Steinbeck to show what prejudice can do and how it affects the recipient.
