Question

THREE: Health Screening Discussion

Screenings are now very important parts of the yearly physical examinations conducted in health care facilities.  They are conducted for the early detection of certain diseases, such as breast cancer or colorectal cancer.  Depending on age, gender, family history, and other factors, the frequency of screenings may vary from person to person.

  • Engage in a discussion of the following:

    • Consider factors and events that may interfere with a person’s ability to get frequent health screenings and other health services.
    • In what ways do life difficulties interfere with actually getting screened?
    • In what ways can community-based programs alleviate those obstacles?

Support your work with scholarly academic resources, textbooks, or other sources provided.  Quoting or paraphrasing from any source in discussion posts requires APA format by including an in-text citation and listing the reference at the end of the post.
