Question

Southwick and Charney (Ch. 8) highlighted the importance of physical exercise and moving the body to help build resilience and healthy brain activity.  They summarized several studies that show the intimate connection between physical and mental health. Consider potential risk factors that heighten one’s risk to chronic stress-related disorders, as well as physical strategies that could be potentially beneficial.
As you consider your own physical and mental health, think about strategies that could lead to increased movement and activity, which could subsequently lead to improved mood and outlook (i.e. optimism).
