What is the excess charge on a conducting sphere of radius r = 0.15 m if the potential of the sphere is 1500 V and V = 0 at infinity?

So if you look at Gauss Law you see E=kq/r^2 which can be rewritten as Er=kq/r.
Well V=Er so you can write V=kq/r.
We are looking for charge so we can rewrite this as q=Vr/k.K is Coulombs Constant and is 9 x 10^-9 m/F.
Sooo, just plug in your values
q = (1500V)(0.15m)/(9 x 10^-12m/F) = 2.5 x 10^-8 C or 25 nC.
