organizational Theory Paper (Final copy due week 7)
Outline the paper being sure to include the following headings (Introduction; Organizational theory/approach; Description of the organization; Context of the Organization; Analysis of the organizational culture; Recommendations for improvement and efficiency; and Conclusion). Each of these 7 sections are worth 10 points (total 70), references are worth 10; APA citations (10) and Writing Conventions (10) for a total of 100 points on final. The field of educational leadership has several theories and approaches that can be applied or assist in our understanding of organizations, leaders, and their choices. Consider Owens et al and select one approach and one theory to examine in this paper. Paper Organization:
1. Open your essay with an opening paragraph describing the context of the organization your are focusing on.
2. Describe the findings from the two instruments used in weeks 1 & 2 that apply to this organization. A minimum of one paragraph from each instrument (this can be taken from assignments D & E above). Compare and contrast these findings.
3. Using the data from the two instruments used in assignments C & D, what are the “areas for improvement” that you could focus on to improve the organizational efficiency of this organization.

     4. Summarize the organizational theory(ies) that you will be addressing throughout this paper (assignment F) and how this theory would be related to the changes suggested above in #3.
5. Write a summarizing paragraph, that brings together the salient points from your paper, what is the so what? What you want to make sure the reader walks away understanding about the organization and how you it might be improved as an organization.
Paper Requirements:
• Cite at least 5 direct quotes from the Owens (2015) textbook and
• Two or more citations from the articles/books or cases you have collected (include citation with page number). Direct quotes should be short (no more than two sentences) and should be noted with quotation marks.
• Paper must be typed, double-spaced, 12-point font,
• 6-8 pages. (Page count does not include title page or reference list.
