Meeting communication
It’s no secret that meetings are a way of life in the workplace; therefore, effective communication is paramount. But most cases this does not happen either by the presenter being ineffective or the audience being inattentive. Some of the signs distracted audience when their eye contact is too fixed, their feet are pointed towards the door and they don’t mirror your body language. To bring their mind into the meeting you can ask them a question about what you just said this will make them attentive afterward as you speak.
Group communication
If picked to be the leader of group, for you to be more effective ensure you take time to prepare, always try to mix things up this is done by allowing everyone be engaged in the discussion this helps to counter boredom. After ending you presentation as the team leader try to summarize and repeat the keys points this not only helps you but also the audience to retain what’s has been said.
Public speaking
Public speaking can be effective if the presenter is well prepared, most of the time the speaker is unprepared leading to ineffective communication. To make yourself more confidence speak rather than reading written material and keep avoiding apologizing constantly.

Effective communication breaks down in meetings are very common when they are too long, scheduled without enough time to properly prepare for them, such meeting end without establishing actionable steps. Also, long meeting makes audience bored and this can been seen when audience keeps on tapping fingers, and keep on yawning. Plan you meeting to be not too long and too short.
