The Wine Industry is a competitive one in the United States. With just three producers accounting for 50% of domestic case shipments, the penetration into the market seems to be a challenging venture. A change in approach and strategy when it comes to wine sales is therefore a necessary factor in order to capture a percentage in the market. Technological development over the decades has inspired globalization and influenced modes of business approaches by companies. The internet is one such platform that has spearheaded reforms such as in the wine industry.   
In business, each strategy has its own advantages as well as disadvantages. Therefore, it is always necessary to discover a perfect fit that drives the company’s objectives smoothly. Despite NakedWines.com (NWC) taking up the use of a mobile app to realize its goals, the CEO, Rowan Gormley is still conflicted of it. Despite the rapid growth of the mobile app, Gormley found brand awareness creation to be a challenge. Regardless of having a well grounded mobile app, the CEO had to initiate strategies that would lure in new customers as well as improving customer retention.   
The main stakeholders of NWC include the customers, suppliers (winemakers), shareholders, and employees (Newton & Gilinsky, 2015). Just as in form of business, the shareholders of NWC expect a stronger entity with renewed growth prospects that are set to initiate higher earnings per share and dividends in the long run. On the other hand, customers are presented with a couple of options through the online presence set by the company. Through the online platform, customers expect a broader range of wine as well as fair and affordable prices against that of other producers. The customers have a high range of taste preferences and choices of wines. Luckily for the NWC, multiple winemakers have a collaborative association with the company hence providing a wide variety of wine to choose from.   
On the other hand, employees have the expectations of working for a well-rooted business with increased career prospects and opportunities for advancement. The winemakers who are the suppliers in the business also expect high levels of growth for the business as well as increased investments that are set to enable the company to increase its percentage share in the market. Competition is the greatest force that has the biggest impact on NWC. The heavy presence of competitors in the market has influenced the company’s need to adopt business models that initiate a competitive advantage within the industry.   
Good competition ensures the production of quality products as well as fair pricing. The changes in cultural tastes and preferences are also another macro environmental force that has had an impact on NWC (Newton & Gilinsky, 2015). In its efforts to penetrate into the United States, getting people to abandon their old habits was an uphill task. Unlike in the United Kingdom, there was little knowledge of the potential customers in the US.  However, on customer acquisition, the American clients had enormous resemblance with the British customers in relation to the taste preferences and choice of wines.   
The greatest strength of NWC is that they have an innovative business model. This model allows for the customers to acquire the products at much lower prices from that of other retailers (Newton & Gilinsky, 2015). This creates competitive advantage for the firm which is essential for its existence and authority in the market. Prompt services such as delivery as a result of a network of warehouses plays as a lead contributor to the strengths enjoyed by the firm.
