equation.
AgNO3 + HCl → + HNO3 +
AGCL
This means you require 1 mole of HCL to completely neutralize
1 Mole of AGNO3. The ratio is 1:1
To calculate the number of moles
equivalent to 1 gram of AGCL, use the formula
Moles= mass/molecular weight
Molecular weight of AGCL is 143.32g
The number of moles in 1 gram of AGCL = 1/143.32
                                                               = 0.00698 Moles
Since the ratio of AgNO3 to
HCL is 1:1, you also require 0.00698 moles of HCl.
1 molar HCl means that there is 1 mole of HCL in 1000
ml solution.
To get the volume of 1 molar HCl that contains
0.00698moles use the formula,
Volume = Moles * 1000
               
= 0.00698*1000
               = 6.98 ml of HCl
