Discussion Questions: Emerging Technologies and Mobile Devices
Question 1
One emerging technology that I believe will have the biggest impact on telecommunications and network security within the next two (2) years is 5G Cellular communication system because of the following reasons:
Question 2
Walker, G. S. (2001) stated that the top-three (3) concerns with mobile devices and security in an organization are:
Password of the organization should be in the safe hands for it to be secure. Once the password is accessible to many people it will leak the information of the organization and this will compromise the integrity and the confidentiality of the organization.
According to Jonathan Dale some of the most common blacklisted apps are; Drop box, Sugar sync, Box, Face book and Google.
This demands that employee in an organization to create their own password and the password should not include their names, numbers of their identity cards in that it should be a strong password containing letters of Alphabet with upper case, lower case, numeric and punctuations.
According to Marchant, G. E., et al. (2013), the major concern of each organization is that their information, files and Data should be confidential and only accessible to authorized persons
Security solution for mobile devices
I suggest that the mobile phones of the employees to be registered based on the identity cards, besides having a reliable information department in the organization.
