Violence Against Women in Turkey
I Proposed Solution
Gender-based violence has been a significant problem, especially to women in Turkey. Many programs have been developed to reduce or curb the problem, but they have not been successful in achieving the set goals. Among the already existing solutions, the best one in Turkey is the Turkcell corporate social responsibility which provides education and scholarships to girls, especially in rural areas (Turkcell, 2020). The program is quite effective but does not reach most girls because it is for specific areas only and periods. Education is the best weapon that women can use to fight against violence. Therefore, the best programs would only be those that provide education to women. I started this project to ensure that all women are educated, can get a job, and understand how they should be treated despite their culture.
The best and most effective solution would be the provision of education to women in all areas. The existing program provides education to women in rural areas only. It is important to note that even women in urban areas face violence and thus focus should not only be on women in rural areas. The solution to all problems would be the provision of education to all women, regardless of whether they are from rural or urban areas. Those that do not afford to pay their school fee should be awarded scholarships to ensure that they get an education to the highest level they wish.
