Question

Restorative justice is different from more traditional views of justice. Restorative justice is based on the concept of peacemaking and requires a more positive approach to crime by helping the offender understand the significance of his or her actions and accept responsibility for potential offenses. Many issues arise out of this form of justice, leading to misunderstanding of community members or misapplication of this model of justice. Ethical issues arise while evaluating this type of approach versus a more traditional one.
