I believe that it is important for leadership to be invested into the hearts of people. This especially applies for the committed members because simply being charismatic does not mean that peoples lives are being changed. When members choose to go somewhere because of a charismatic leader, then they are somewhat putting that person on a pedestal that leads them to eventually be let down. This is not to say that charismatic leaders cannot bee transformational, but rather that they tend to bring in individuals who are there because of the leader, and not because of the goal/purpose. So making a church that is transformational rather than charismatic is the first step in investing into the committed members. Transformational leadership focuses more on the inspiration motivation and ideals and values (Yukl, 2013). Focusing on this is important because that is where all relationships with Jesus start. No relationship with Jesus will ever be enjoyable when the values and motivation to be with Jesus just goes to a shallow depth. Relationships with Jesus go deeper when morals and values become transformed and are on the same understanding as Jesus' values.

Jesus is the ultimate goal and that should be the vision that everyone strives for. What I mean by this is that Jesus is the ultimate motivation for anything and everything. Jesus is the one who did it all for his followers. John 10:10 says, "The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have life and have it abundantly." (ESV). Jesus tells everyone that He has come to give life. This means that He is never going to disappoint or discourage or tear down. This life that Jesus talks about is the transformation that all of His followers go through to become more like Him. After all, He is life itself. So the motivation and vision is to be with Jesus. That is the vision that gives life.
