Profitability within the industry as a function of the 5 competitive forces (Assessment of bargaining power of customers and suppliers, threat of new entrants and substitute products, and intensity of rivalry among incumbents) Do not state the power of each force but state your conclusions based on the full analysis. (30 Points)

IV. Key factors of Success: Factors  determining success in this industry or its various segments.(What a company has to be good in to be successful within the current industry environment) (25 Points)

The report must be at least 12 pages including a contents page and an executive summary and excluding the exhibits. The report must be written for an industry from a global perspective and can’t be limited to Turkey or a specific company. The report must start with an executive summary summarizing key characteristics of the industry, and its expected future. Although the report can be about a whole sector (like global retailing), it should preferably be limited to a sub-sector (like global convenience store retailing) Writing the report on an entire sector is dicouraged as that may increase your workload to an umanagable level. Although one can use information from articles listed as supplementary reading, the report must use at least 3 additional sources for your reports. Sources of Information must be specified in footnotes rather than on a list at the end of the report. Any exhibit presented must be referenced within the text.
