Ethical decision making is not always a straightforward process with an obvious answer. There are several factors to take into consideration that make each case unique. This uniqueness, unfortunately, does not allow for a model of ethical decision making that is perfect or can be referenced in every situation. However, as we will explore in Chapter 7, there are credible models of ethical decision making that can act is a guide when confronted with situations that are not immediately clear. A familiarity with these models can allow us to be more prepared to tackle unique situations when it comes to ethical decision making.

  • Review Chapter 7 of your textbook.
  • In a 1-page, double spaced response, define the four common, recurring elements found throughout the decision making models presented in Chapter 7.
  • Include a paragraph that discusses which element you feel will be the most difficult to address when approaching cases that may not be clear-cut in terms of ethical decision making.
